SPOT GUIDE

Newton Beach has always been a popular windsurfing location but it has quickly established itself as an awesome spot for wing foiling in South Wales.

Getting There

Easy to access by car, leave M4 at junction 36, follow the signs to Porthcawl. As you enter the town, turn left and follow the signs for Newton Bay.  Car parking is next to the beach, access the beach on foot using the slipway.

Overview

Generally the water conditions are quite flat unless it’s stormy as the beach faces S.E.

There is a wind shadow at high tide but once further out (or at lower tide) it gets the full clean S.W. winds.

There are rocks either side of the beach but generally these are not a problem for most people, just check with a local first.
