Newport Beach, Wales is a Shallow, Flat, Chop and Medium waves spot.
Go to the southern end if the beach is busy although this is only likely in peak summer periods. Outside of peak periods its a good learning venue. Access by car park.
Shelves gently, a few rocks at the northern end at low tide but better sailing is normally at the southern end of the beach. Waves can get big in a strong north westerly otherwise water state is dictated by local wind conditions. Rideable at most states of tide. Obviously need to wade out a bit at low tide.
Note: Fishguard is 8 miles west of Newport
